Destiny Forge
Mental Health Therapist Intern
A Texas native, Destiny came to Kansas in 2012 on a track scholarship and has made it her home ever since. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wichita State University.
Destiny thrives in nature—she loves tending to her plants, being outdoors, and feeling the sunshine on her skin. Her favorite food is Indian cuisine, which she enjoys for its vibrant flavors and warmth.
What draws Destiny to HopeNet is its deep commitment to accessible, Christ-centered care:
“We serve Wichita—all of Wichita—in Christ-centered and trauma-informed approaches. God truly is close to the brokenhearted, and we have the honor of being conduits of His heart.”
Her personal journey with counseling has been transformative:
“Counseling has shown me that I don’t have to carry the burden of strength. I can invite counselors into my story, and they have held it with such care, grace, and the love of Jesus.”
Destiny’s empathy, insight, and heart for healing make her a compassionate presence at HopeNet as she continues to grow into her calling as a counselor.
